Position Summary
We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Transfer Designate to join the Operations team. The Transfer Designate oversees the shipping of all transfers from that location, receives all incoming transfers and ensures the sales team is notified of the arrival of their orders in a timely manner. The shifts are Monday - Friday and the wage range is $23.80 - $26.50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities.
- Oversee and direct the picking, staging, and shipping of all outbound transfers.
- Oversee and direct receiving of inbound transfers, staging product for replenishment team.
- Following the shipping process; maintain the transfer board and paperwork.
- Audit all transfers for shipping and receiving accuracy and correct any discrepancies.
- Liaison with receivers to immediately action transfers on PO’s received.
- Liaison with Carrier and spoke stores to maintain open communication.
- Post all transfer documents in NAV.
- Research and resolve all aging transfers.
- Inventory controls; adjust incorrect on hands, and slot codes.
- Submitting daily transfer completion updates to Logistics
- Pulling transfers as required
- Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Forklift experience and ticket is essential.
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving.
- Detail oriented.
- Broad knowledge of building supplies and home improvement products
- Effective communication skills and ability to read and speak English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments.
- Flexible work hours availability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Sitting and standing for extended periods of time
- Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
