BASE ADMINISTRATOR – RED DEER (RDC)
Reporting to the Base Manager, the Base Administrator will ensure all administrative duties are completed in a precise and timely fashion while working in conjunction with Management, Human Resources, Payroll and the Finance Department.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
- Prepare new staff packages while ensuring all records, forms and statements are properly processed and updated as required
- Maintain current records and copies of all safety related requirements as well as process forms and reports
- Oversee the month end close process to ensure all is completed by set deadlines
- Manage distribution of Trican Property issued to employees
- Assist in the development and implementation of new programs as they pertain to office procedure
- Assist Base Managers with various HR, Payroll and Administrative tasks
- Coordinate various aspects of the accounting process including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process monthly utilities to Accounts Payable
- Record and copy all required courses, driver license, driver logs, training documentation and safety documentation and maintain Driver Files
- Respond to general inquiries from various sources through telephone, fax or e-mail
- Process field tickets and bonus reconciliations
- Willingness to assist in additional tasks/projects outside of regular responsibilities
- Greet visitors, answer phones, maintain cleanliness of front office and other common areas
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of office administration experience is required
- Certificate or diploma in Office Administration would be an asset
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple activities with tight deadlines and adapt to changing work conditions
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly with a high attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Microsoft NAV an asset
