About the role
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Certified Professional Engineer for Project Engineer position to join our client’s engineering team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will lead the engineering and execution of well equipping and tie-in projects, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position plays a key role in driving project success from concept through to completion while supporting field development planning and maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.
- Location: Calgary, AB
- Shift: Monday to Friday | 40h per week
- Job type: One year Contract | Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Champion safety and process safety in all engineering work.
- Lead the engineering and execution of new well equip and tie-in projects, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
- Manage engineering consultants and EPC firms to deliver high-quality designs and execution plans.
- Coordinate vendors, supply chain, and equipment procurement to align with project schedules.
- Oversee regulatory applications and licensing to support project approvals and compliance.
- Support full field development planning, including gathering system design and infrastructure optimization.
- Develop and refine cost estimates, and benchmark project performance to ensure peer competitiveness.
- Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and internal safety requirements.
- Collaborate with Operations, Drilling, Completions, and Construction teams to align on project scope and execution.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer sanctioned by APEGA with ability to authenticate mechanical engineering deliverables
- Eight or more years of relevant operations & facility and engineering experience.
- Knowledge and application of frequently used codes (ASME B31.3, CSA Z662 etc.)
- Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas industry a nd facility design
- Strong communication skills with an ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams
- Must be able to multi-task effectively and manage competing deadlines
- Strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to make timely and consistent decisions on a broad variety of topics
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Calgary, AB.
