Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data and Analytics, the Data Management and Governance Analyst plays a key role in advancing the future of data analytics at East Coast Credit Union. This position supports the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of data governance frameworks, infrastructure improvements, and data quality standards that align with the Credit Union’s strategic objectives.

You would…
- Support the implementation of a data governance framework and assist in developing policies and procedures that uphold data integrity, privacy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and maintain data quality across systems by conducting routine checks, supporting governance initiatives, and facilitating effective data management across both legacy and modern platforms to meet reporting and operational needs.
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing scalable, secure, and user-friendly data infrastructure, collaborating with IT and cross-functional teams to integrate new data platforms that align with governance, cybersecurity, and business objectives.
- Contribute to preparing data environments that enable advanced analytics, such as machine learning or predictive modeling, while supporting the execution of the organization’s broader data and analytics strategy through assigned initiatives and reporting tasks.
- Provide accurate data and foundational insights to departments including Risk, Finance, Operations, and Member Experience, help integrate data from diverse sources to ensure consistency and accessibility and stay informed on data trends to share relevant knowledge with the team.
- Assist in creating training materials and documentation to promote data literacy, support project teams by gathering requirements, tracking milestones, validating deliverables, and prepare reports and dashboards that drive business planning and performance monitoring.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration to embed data tools and practices into daily operations, coordinate with vendors and technology partners on data initiatives, represent the Data & Analytics team at internal and external events, and support community involvement and executive reporting needs as assigned.
- Complete other projects and duties as required.
You have…
- Completed a bachelor’s degree in in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field, preferably in the financial industry; or an equivalent combination of training and related work experience.

- Highly organized and skilled in work planning, project coordination, and balancing multiple priorities to ensure success in dynamic environments.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong research skills, solid business acumen, and a working knowledge of risk management to support sound decision-making.
- An excellent communicator with strong presentation abilities, able to translate complex concepts clearly for diverse audiences.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications—including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and MS Project—and experienced in leveraging data systems, reports, business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and data management platforms (e.g., SQL, Azure, Snowflake).
- Collaborative and relationship-focused, thriving in cross-functional teams and dedicated to supporting shared goals and continuous improvement.
