About the role

BBE is seeking an organized and proactive Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support and/or manage project planning and execution from start to finish, helping ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. You will work independently or with cross-functional with teams, for resource allocation, track progress, and help keep everything and everyone on track.

RESPONSIBILITIES

On-Project

  • Coordinating project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Break projects into actionable tasks and set timeframes
  • Communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project alignment
  • Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
  • Evaluate projects and perform analyses to identify gaps in all aspects: Safety, Scope, Resources, Budget, Schedule & Risk
  • Budgeting and resource tracking
  • Project expediting, including vendors and other 3rd party providers
  • Prepare presentations and reports for upper management
  • Direct execution of project tasks as required
  • Ensure invoicing is completed on time and to the project scope
  • Complete project wrap-ups, ensuring all deliverables and invoicing is complete, including lessons learned

Off-Project

  • Maintain and update shared templates, forms and documentation libraries.
  • Create or maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate task follow-ups and action items post-meetings.
  • Implement changes to SOPs and best practices based on lessons learned from project wrap-up reviews
  • Update task boards, schedules, or resource plans outside of specific project scopes.
  • Ensure data consistency across platforms used by different teams.

CORPORATE COMPLIANCE DUTIES

  • Actively participate in QHSETR programs and systems.
  • Contribute to and foster transparent, direct communication, education, and customer service enhancement with the operations team and clients.
  • Ensure that file details and supporting documentation facilitate efficient handovers to Operations and Accounting.
  • Contribute to BBE’s continuous improvement and organizational efficiency goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in logistics and/or expediting preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance controls is an asset.
  • PMP and CAPM certifications are assets.
