Structural Project Supervisor

Job Description:
We currently have an opening for a Structural Project Supervisor in our Vancouver office. The role focuses on supporting the successful delivery of BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure projects in the transportation sector. This position involves coordinating and liaising with clients and contractors throughout the pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases. Responsibilities include observing on-site activities, documenting project progress, tracking submittals, promptly reporting any issues to the Ministry of Transportation, and facilitating discussions to resolve any challenges that arise.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution OR 5+ years of direct field experience working on bridges
- Familiarity with WorkSafe BC processes and documentation, and an understanding of the Ministry of Transportations site's health and safety policies and specification is an asset
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word
- Familiarity working with database software is an asset
- Strong understanding of how bridges function, including structural behavior and constructability considerations
- Strong communication skills to maintain and build relationships with the Ministry of Transportation staff and contractors, including facilitating meetings and report writing
- Strong organizational skills, including project and quality assurance documentation/filing, maintaining schedules, and managing project budgets
- Detail oriented in reviewing and administering construction contract documents
- Ability to be on site during construction
- Quick learner with a desire to grow professionally
- Committed team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction when required
- Taking ownership of tasks on large and small projects
- Valid BC Driver’s License
The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $104,000.00 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position.
