DESCRIPTION

DM Roles and Responsibility

Purpose : The purpose of the ACOSTA Data Collection Dedicated Team Retail District manager is to manage on time delivery of high quality data. This is achieved by managing a group of qualified Team Leaders and Data Collectors on each aspect of their position.

Supervisor Responsibilities

Delivery

a. DM will utilize Nielsen Tracker/NI to ensure on time delivery of stores, surveys and projects.

b. When coverage is necessary, utilize Data Collector’s first, use Team Leader as a last resort.

c. Route optimization

i. Consistently make sure DCA assigned is best for route assigned

ii. Open req’s as necessary for best Delivery of all projects

iii. Assign new projects to DCA’s for optimal delivery

d. Cost management of uncovered stores (NRR).

i. Work with Region Operation Manager to determine cost associated with remote uncovered stores

Quality

a. DM will utilize available reports to manage causal quality issues.

b. Manage the Team Leaders weekly in audit, causal and projects to insure quality data collection.

c. Manage Team Leaders in all new projects to conduct training and coaching.

d. Work with internal ACOSTA staff on quality issues.

e. District manager will utilize all available reports to manage quality issues.

Efficiency/Scan rates

a. District manager will monitor the scan rate report monthly and continue to drive scan rates up.

i. Work with Team Leader’s to ensure they understand scan rates and how to assist with increasing in Team Leaders sub territory.

ii. Advising Data Collectors how scan rates affect them and how to improve performance.

Field Management

  1. Team Leaders-Weekly conference calls

  2. Team Leaders-Weekly Coaching/Mentoring

  3. One on one validations of Team Leader’s to ensure quality

  4. Manage Training time (both new hire and refresher)

  5. Manage validations (both routine and mandatory)

  6. Manage Coaching functions:

  7. Quality Issue

  8. Follow up from Validation

  9. New Project’s

  10. Every Data Collector must be contacted or visited by Team Leader at least once for every new project

  11. Team Leader will make sure the Data Collector fully understands the project.

  12. Manage Team Leaders sub territory

  13. Team Leader will be creating a weekly plan to deliver to the district manager every week.

  14. The district manager will work with Team Leader to identify and improve any issues in Team Leader’s sub territory.

  15. Communication

  16. All initial new hire communication

  17. Job responsibilities

  18. Training plan/expectation

  19. Assignment

  20. Follow up communications (i.e. how is training going, any questions, NI questions, Field support, etc)

  21. For Data Collectors Conference calls/email

  22. Cycle conference calls to update on applicable business

  23. Conference calls concerning new projects

  24. Email communication

  25. One on one calls with Data Collectors

  26. Discuss any concerns/issues they have.

  27. Discuss quality issues

  28. DCA counseling

  29. Work with HR on all counseling issues.

  30. Deliver disciplinary actions in a timely manner
