Position summary
Under the supervision of David P. Labbé, Ph.D., McGill University Associate Professor and Scientist affiliated with the Cancer Research Program, the selected candidate will support the execution of a translational research project aimed at exploiting precision nutrition strategies to improve the efficacity of DNA-damaging therapies in prostate cancer.

General Duties
The candidate will be working under the direct supervision of a senior Research Associate and play a key role in executing and managing a funded multidisciplinary research project of international scale (research partners in the United States and Australia) together with a team of graduate trainees, aimed at identifying dietary elements that could increase the efficacy of DNA-damaging therapies for prostate cancer.
• Oversee and participate in the execution of the assigned laboratory project and experiments,
• Perform a variety of specialized technical tasks (genotyping, tissue culture, molecular biology, irradiation),
• Supervise and participate in small animal handling and in vivo experiments (xenografts, PDXs, injections, necropsy),
• Record results, perform calculations and compile data,
• Analyze and interpret data, perform statistical tests,
• Contribute to figures, publications and grant applications,
• Participate to laboratory clerical and administrative tasks.
Education / Experience
Education: Master's Degree
Field of Study: Science
Work Experience:
• > 2 years’ experience as a Research Assistant,
• Previous experience with preclinical mouse models (essential),
• Knowledge of cancer biology,
• Knowledge of DNA damage pathways (desirable).
Required Skills
• Bilingual French and English,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision,
• Good analytical and logic skills,
• Problem assessment and problem-solving abilities.
