About the role

Our tools help 3PLs run smoother warehouses, retain clients through transparency, and differentiate their service in a competitive market.

Octup is looking for a Billing Sales Engineer to take a central role in implementing and scaling our billing solution across logistics warehouses (3PLs). This is a hybrid role that combines customer-facing onboarding and implementation with technical pre-sales support , making it ideal for someone with strong technical skills and deep business acumen.

You will become the internal and external expert on our billing product , collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, and serving as the go-to person for everything related to billing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Onboarding & Implementation

  • Lead the onboarding and implementation of Octup’s billing solution for new 3PL clients.
  • Understand each customer’s operations, pricing models, and billing needs to configure the product accordingly.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact during setup, integration, testing, and go-live.
  • Ensure successful adoption and customer satisfaction post-launch.

2. Sales Engineering & Pre-Sales Support

  • Partner with the Sales team throughout the sales process to provide technical insights and answer in-depth billing-related questions.
  • Help scope billing implementations and assess feasibility with prospective clients.
  • Join customer calls, create demo environments, and support RFIs/RFPs as needed.
  • Translate business challenges into product capabilities and integration plans.

3. Internal Product & Knowledge Leadership

  • Act as the internal expert on Octup’s billing solution , providing insights to the Product and Engineering teams based on real customer use cases.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements, new features, or integrations based on customer feedback.
  • Create documentation, playbooks, and knowledge resources to scale the billing offering.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Implementation Specialist, Solutions Consultant, or similar role — preferably in a B2B SaaS company.
  • Strong technical background — comfortable working with APIs, data mapping, integrations, and complex systems.
  • Deep understanding of billing systems, pricing logic , or logistics/3PL operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable leading external and internal conversations.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with logistics platforms, warehouse management systems (WMS), or ERP integrations.
  • Background in product management or engineering.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
