THE IMPACT
As part of the OpenText Events team, you will have the opportunity to help craft and execute strategies that elevate our brand and drive business growth. You'll work on innovative events that showcase our cutting-edge solutions in information management, cloud services, and AI. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
- The Corporate Event Planner will work closely with the Sr. Manager, Corporate Events, from planning through to execution of events within OpenText, bringing to life a global event strategy.
- As a member of OpenText’s dynamic marketing and events team, the primary function will be supporting projects such as global meetings, VIP programs, incentive programs and OpenText’s largest customer and partner event, OpenText World.
- The Corporate Event Planner is responsible for providing administrative and support services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations in the Corporate Events Department.
- Maintain event related email accounts and inbox support
- Assist with online registration systems, creation of marketing links, amending registrations and running reports.
- Uploading of event assets to online portals, including session information, images, descriptions, etc.
- Assist with audience acquisition campaigns for OpenText World and other events as required.
- Liaise with creative team on creative requirements, including submitting creative requests
- Assisting with PowerPoint presentations, updating documents (FAQs, contact list, internal intranet etc.), and online file maintenance
- Shipment packing, commercial invoice documents, tracking and working closely with shipping brokerage contacts to ensure timely delivery
- Manage and organize the Events supply room, including inventory management
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 2+ years experience with large-scale event planning including conferences and incentive programs
- Knowledge of current event technologies, including registration and virtual event platforms such as Cvent, Passkey, Concur, Swoogo considered an asset
- Advanced skillset with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Results driven, takes a highly focused, goal driven approach
- Self starter, with attention to detail
- Excellent project management skills and flexibility to move between projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of communication processes and ability to work with various communication mediums
- Flexible attitude and ability to function as a member of a dynamic team
- Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Able to travel up to 15% of the year – both domestic and international travel.
