Studio Ten is a boutique interior design firm in Vancouver specializing in new-construction single-family homes and small-scale multi-unit residential projects (up to 4 units), with select commercial work. We’re looking for a contract Architectural Technologist to support our growing team. For the right candidate, this role has the potential to evolve into a long-term, permanent position.
Position: Intermediate Architectural Technologist
Type: Part-Time Contract (3–5 days/week)
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare architectural and interior construction drawings for new single-family homes and small multi-family developments
- Develop design concepts and assist in space planning
- Produce photorealistic 3D renderings and presentation materials
- Assist with design specifications and product sourcing
- Coordinate with suppliers and reps for samples and pricing
Bonus: Experience with social media content, blog writing, or marketing coordination is a plus.
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma (minimum) in Architectural Technology from an accredited program
- 3+ years’ relevant experience, specifically in this area of work
- Familiarity with the Lower Mainland, including local suppliers and permitting processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Access to a vehicle for site visits and supplier meetings (mileage reimbursed)
- Availability for 24–40 hours per week on a regular schedule
