About the role
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its financial reporting team. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Accounting & Reporting, this role involves financial analysis, monthly and annual reporting, and collaboration with operational leaders to assess and interpret financial results. The successful candidate will help prepare financial statements for year-end audit, support strategic decision-making with evidence-based insights, and drive continuous process improvements in reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End & Financial Reporting
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses for month-end close
- Ensure compliance with Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS)
- Draft briefing notes and summaries for senior leadership on financial performance
Program & Business Unit Support
- Act as a subject matter expert for an assigned portfolio
- Present financial results to program managers and directors
- Develop forecasts and recommend actions to meet budget targets
External Reporting & Treasury
- Prepare Ministry and statutory reporting, year-end financial statements, and supporting schedules
- Support liquidity management through cash forecasting and bank reconciliations
- Identify and implement process improvements in treasury functions
Other Duties
- Participate in special projects and working groups
- Learn and apply Management Information Standards (MIS)
- Continuously identify opportunities for process efficiency and automation
Qualifications:
- CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA) with 3–4 years of post-designation experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement
- Preferred experience in public sector or healthcare finance (e.g., Ministry reporting, MIS guidelines)

- Analytical thinker with a structured approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, organized, and detail-oriented
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities
