Overview of Position:
Cobra Mechanical is looking for Journeyman HVAC / Refrigeration Technician. The HVAC / Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and Refrigeration systems for various commercial and industrial projects.
Travel within Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and across Canada is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install heating and air conditioning equipment and ventilation systems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Repairs to defective refrigeration and HVAC equipment and systems
- Maintain jobsites, tools, and materials
- Prepare written material lists as required
- May be required to work at heights, indoors or outdoors, or in confined spaces.
- Always adhering to safety policies, procedures, and practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess a red seal in the Refrigeration and AC Mechanic - Commercial trade
- Gas A or B ticket is an asset but not required
- Experience in commercial and Industrial HVAC / Refrigeration installation and maintenance
- Valid Drivers License
- Working knowledge of all safety practices associated with the trade
- Experience reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communications skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools associated with the trade
Other Qualifications:
- Must be aware of the physical demands of the position
- Must have good coordination and manual dexterity
- Willing to work as part of team or independently with little direction
- Customer service orientated
- Reliability to commute
Work conditions:
Travel to remote locations is required, ability to lift 50+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards and chemicals associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours and overtime as needed.
