Ontario Health is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This role supports financial planning, budgeting, and reporting across the organization, working closely with senior finance leaders and business units. You’ll lead complex financial analyses, prepare internal and external reports, and provide insights that support strategic decision-making.
You’ll also contribute to ministry reporting, year-end settlements, and budget development for high-impact initiatives. With a strong customer focus, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders to review financial results, assess procurement and staffing impacts, and continuously improve financial tools and processes.
Here Is What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct complex financial analyses and prepare reports for leadership and external stakeholders
- Lead ministry reporting, year-end settlements, and audit support
- Provide financial guidance to business units and assess impacts of major procurements and staffing changes
- Support annual budgeting and funding requests for new initiatives
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal teams
- Continuously improve financial tools and reporting processes
- Uphold internal controls and report any suspected fraud or control gaps
Education And Experience Here is what you will need to be successful:
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in financial planning and analysis
Key Competencies
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to build strong working relationships across teams
- High level of initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
