Job Title: Public Relations - Senior Account Executive

JOB BRIEF:

As a Senior Account Executive at PRAXIS, you’ll play a hands-on role across multiple accounts - bringing big ideas to life while sharpening your leadership skills. You’ll support day-to-day program execution, offer strategic guidance to clients, and help drive results across media relations, social, events, influencers, and more. You’ll also begin mastering budgeting and account admin, while mentoring junior team members and growing your confidence as a team lead.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

General Team Activities

  • Develop a strong understanding of your clients’ brands, competitors, and categories, and apply this knowledge to generate relevant, strategic recommendations.
  • Lead the execution of multi-channel programs, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with client goals.
  • Provide day-to-day client support, manage timelines and budgets, and proactively flag solutions to challenges.
  • Mentor junior team members by delegating effectively, providing constructive feedback, and reviewing deliverables such as critical paths, reports, and research.
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal teams and external vendors, negotiating professionally and advocating for client interests.
  • Deliver thoughtful research and analysis that informs strategy and supports ongoing client program development.

Media Relations

  • Support the development of media strategies and lead execution across earned and paid channels.
  • Draft and edit high-quality media materials requiring minimal revision, including press releases, media lists, and briefing documents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts relevant to client industries.
  • Confidently pitch media and secure coverage that aligns with client objectives.
  • Analyze and report on media coverage to extract insights and inform future planning.

Influencer Relations

  • Identify, assess, and recommend influencers aligned with brand values and target audiences.
  • Negotiate contracts, onboard talent, and provide clear briefs and direction throughout campaign execution.
  • Review influencer content and performance data to ensure consistency with campaign goals and messaging.
  • Guide junior team members in building and vetting influencer lists and developing wrap reports.

Event Management

  • Plan and manage events from strategy to execution, ensuring all elements align with brand objectives.
  • Conduct venue assessments, source suppliers, and oversee critical paths and production timelines.
  • Draft and edit event materials such as invitations, speeches, and run-of-show documents.
  • Lead on-site event execution, overseeing logistics and managing guest experience to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Troubleshoot issues in real time and maintain professionalism under pressure.

Social & Digital

  • Stay current on platform functionality, trends, and best practices across major social networks.
  • Support and execute paid and organic strategies, including content calendars and community management oversight.
  • Write/edit on-brand social copy and help optimize campaign performance through data analysis.
  • Spearhead UGC initiatives and integrate social strategies into broader PR programs.

TEAMWORK:

  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive environment.
  • Contribute positively to team culture by recognizing others’ successes and demonstrating integrity.
  • Work independently while remaining accountable and communicative with peers.
  • Actively participate in agency meetings, committees, and new business initiatives as needed.
  • Support junior team members through mentorship, training, and day-to-day guidance.
  • Represent the agency professionally in internal and external settings.

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

3 – 4 years experience at a marketing communications agency
