Family Practice - Galiano Health Care Centre (200-1394)
The Galiano Health Care Center is looking for a part-time Family Physician to provide services for a complex Rural community. The Family Physician, will work in the clinic, with the support of the MOAs, with 20 minute appointments per patient, as well as be the Emergency walk-in physician if necessary. Family Physicians also provide evening/overnight on-call via MOCAP Program. Enjoy a flexible, independent and challenging practice in a modern office (Wolf EMR) with an emergency treatment room. No obstetrics or hospital work and support from outstanding staff.
Clinic Description
1 - 4 day/week Home & Community Care Nurse. Two exam rooms, one Emergency Room, two offices, and two MOAs.
Local Resources
A phlebotomist avail on Thursday for 4 hours. There is one Mental Health & Addictions counselor (employed by Island Health) up to 2 days/week but serves Galiano and Salt Spring. Two RMTs and one physiotherapist rent rooms casually. A dentist comes once a week.
Emergency Framework
Ambulance, volunteer First Responders. Emergency Treatment Room. Patients requiring urgent transfer are taken by water taxi or helicopter.

May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including (subject to change):
• Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $15,000 (pro-rated based on FTE)
• Relocation: up to a maximum of $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
• Flat fee: $17,031.36
• Fee Premium: 10.99%
• CME: $440/2 yrs or less, $2,640/annum year 3-4 and $4,840/annum after 4 years in the community.
• Rural GP Locum Program: Min daily rate - $900; Maximum locum days for host physician: 38
