Job Summary
Reporting to the Superintendent - Canada, the E&I Coordinator will be responsible to ensure that all electrical, instrumentation & measurement for Murphy-operated assets within Canada are operated and maintained within regulatory compliance requirements and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
Cultivation of a safe, effective, and efficient maintenance staff that is team based and focused on continuous improvement of safety, compliance, planning, scheduling, and reliability.
Plan & manage all preventative and corrective maintenance activities related to instrumentation, electrical and measurement along with assisting in budget development/oversight of these activities.
Provide troubleshooting and investigation support to operations teams regarding measurement issues and imbalances.
Manage the EPAP (Enhanced Production Audit Program) annual audit process including testing and reporting.
Oversee the Alberta QMP (Quality Management Plan) and British Columbia ESA (Electrical Safety Approach) programs.
Manage CAI (Compliance Assessment Indicator) reporting and compliance.
Manage production stream sampling program per regulatory requirements.
Maintain measurement schematics for all field areas and update as required
Work with Projects team on appropriate material device selection for applicable discipline(s) and design criteria via design reviews, FEED studies and HAZOPS
Engage with vendors to ensure appropriate training/competency and expectations for task/activity execution in areas of oversight
Maintain measurement databases of all accounting meters, report on expended and annual spend on activities monthly.
Participate in third party related measurement discussions and audits.
Work with multiple discipline departments for production reporting, accounting and MOC support.
Management of all required documents within document retention system.
Licenses/ Certifications
Valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of direct work experience in metering, measurement & instrumentation/ electrical
Proven computer skills, specifically with MS Office programs, MS Teams & DocuSign
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience with a CMMS. SAP
Red Seal Certification - Instrumentation & Control Technician
Demonstrated experience in direct engagement with government regulators (AER & BCER)
Familiar with Petrinex regulatory reporting system
Demonstrated skills in time management
Demonstrated verbal communication skills - the ability to facilitate discussions with colleagues and contract service providers
Proven ability to multi-task and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional organizational skills - ability to identify, plan, prioritize and execute work objectives
Working Conditions
The position can be based out of the Kaybob Field Office, located in Fox Creek AB or the Montney Field Office, located in Dawson Creek, BC. Candidates must reside within a 120km radius of either field office location.
Hours of work – 5-on, 2 off - Monday to Thursday 8.75 Hours/Day, Friday 4 Hours.
Overnight travel will be required on occasion
This position is deemed as a Safety Sensitive position; pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required
Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 CAD
