Marketing Manager – Confectionary and Snacks
As one of the few Canadian-headquartered CPG companies, a marketing career at Johnvince Foods offers you a unique and entrepreneurial opportunity to lead and grow a portfolio of confectionery and snack brands from the front lines. Here, marketers aren't just brand stewards — they're business leaders. You will act as the general manager of your portfolio, with ownership over strategy, innovation, analytics, packaging, and go-to-market execution.
We are seeking a seasoned CPG Marketing Manager with a passion for building brands, leading cross-functional initiatives, and delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is analytically grounded, commercially minded, and thrives in turning consumer and category insights into action.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Innovation & Growth
- Own the development and execution of 1–3 year brand and category strategies to drive sustainable growth
- Lead the end-to-end innovation pipeline — from ideation, consumer research and business case development to commercialization
- Identify whitespace opportunities grounded in insights, trends, and competitive analysis
Category & Channel Fundamentals
- Leverage syndicated data (Nielsen, internal POS, and customer insights) to assess brand/category performance, identify opportunities, and track KPIs
- Partner with Sales to align on customer-specific strategies and ensure execution at retail
- Analyze market, brand, and competitive trends to develop sound strategic recommendations
Project & Process Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating agility and prioritization across timelines and shifting business needs
- Lead creative development process including briefing agency partners on packaging graphics, ensuring consistency with brand strategy and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement to bring projects to life on time and on budget
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in CPG brand/marketing management, ideally with formal training from a leading packaged goods company
- Proven track record managing category fundamentals and innovation in a highly competitive environment
- Strong command of Nielsen and syndicated data; ability to derive actionable insights and influence cross-functional decisions
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to pivot quickly and manage competing priorities
- Clear, confident communicator and team collaborator who thrives in an entrepreneurial, results-driven culture

We continue to invest in state of the art processing and packaging machinery to transform raw materials into finished goods for the bulk food and packaged goods trades. In the mid 90's Johnvince Foods purchased the comprehensive right to the Planters brand for Canada from Hershey's Canada. Presently, all major grocery retailers in Canada, purchase the vast majority of their bulk food requirements from Johnvince Foods.
Our valued customers include major & independent grocers, department chains in mass, drug, retail, club, & convenience channels as well as bulk retailers and wholesale distributors.
In addition to domestic distribution, Johnvince Foods, out of its current 1,000,000 sq. ft. flagship facility, has been exporting and sourcing globally for decades, bringing the best products from around the world to our valued customers and consumers.
