Steve Madden Canada is a leading footwear and apparel brand, committed to delivering high-quality products that inspire. We are seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Coordinator to help manage our supply chain processes and ensure efficient product flow into our warehouses.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Inbound Logistics Specialist, the Inbound Logistics Coordinator will play a critical role in overseeing the inbound logistics process, ensuring timely delivery of materials and products from suppliers to our distribution centers. The ideal candidate will have mid-senior level experience in logistics or supply chain management, particularly in the footwear or apparel industry. This person will collaborate with multiple departments, including sourcing, production, and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the inbound logistics process for footwear and apparel products.

Ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods from suppliers to distribution centers.

Monitor shipments, handle shipping documentation (BOL, customs paperwork), and resolve any logistical issues.

Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to track shipments and ensure on-time delivery.

Develop and maintain relationships with key transportation partners and carriers.

Work closely with customer service and sales teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Analyze inbound logistics performance, create reports, and recommend process improvements.

Stay up-to-date on international shipping regulations, trade compliance, and import/export laws.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in inbound logistics, preferably in the footwear and apparel industry.

Strong understanding of logistics processes, shipping methods, and documentation requirements (domestic and international).

Experience confirming bookings with freight forwarders and managing ocean, truck, and air shipments.

Proficiency in logistics software and systems. Good knowledge of Outlook package.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot shipping and logistics issues.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally.

Knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance is a plus.
