How You’ll Make an Impact
- Report to the Treasurer.
- Interest Rate Risk Management :
- Support the implementation and upkeep of processes to manage interest rate risk.
- Prepare monthly data for ALCO and monitor key indicators like NII and EVE.
- Provide analysis and recommendations to senior staff on interest rate exposure.
- Cash Forecasting & Liquidity Planning :
- Maintain and update the daily cash forecast model to manage liquidity needs.
- Assist with the monthly Liquidity Contingency Funding Plan (LCFP).
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Treasury Operations :
- Support securitization program analysis and execution.
- Liaise with Credit for multi-unit residential mortgage approvals.
- Back up daily deposit rate setting and evaluate deposit pricing.
- Develop treasury processes and monitor market trends for stakeholder updates.
- Financial Analysis & Strategic Insights:
- Analyze financial data and processes to identify trends and forecast outcomes.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and propose innovative solutions.
- Prepare reports and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
What You Bring to the Table
- You have a post-secondary education in business or commerce.
- You have your accounting designation or CFA.
- You’ve got at least 5 years of progressive accounting or treasury experience.
- You have exceptional interpersonal and team leadership skills.
- You’ve got superior verbal and written communication skills.
- You have effective time management and organizational skills.
- You’re creative, innovative and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial services and derivatives would be considered an asset
