Department: Pain Management & Mental Health Outpatient Programs
Site: St. Joseph's Health Centre
Shifts: Days
Rate of pay: $24.03 - $28.27 per hour
St. Joseph's Health Centre Chronic Pain Management Program requires a casual Receptionist. The successful applicant will be responsible for reception duties as well as a variety of clerical duties relating to activities with the Chronic Pain Management Program and Mental Health Outpatient Programs. This position will involve working with an interprofessional team in an outpatient setting. It will also involve communicating with clients, staff, and other community professionals.
Qualifications:

Post-secondary qualifications in a business or administrative field

Experience in a receptionist and/or clerical capacity, preferably in a health care setting

Demonstrated skills and ability to work in a fully computerized environment

Experience with Meditech applications, in particular the admissions and scheduling modules
-
Knowledge of StaffRight, Virtuo, GroupWise and Microsoft programs
-
Knowledge of medical and counselling terminology is an asset
-
Experience with data entry statistical analyses skills
-
Accurate keyboarding skills and attention to detail are essential

Must be client-focused and possess the ability to interact with a wide variety of clients, visitors and clinicians on a daily basis

Ability to work with individuals with mental health and developmental concerns
-
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time in a high pressure situation

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
-
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Demonstrated regular attendance at work
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
