Position Summary
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Landscaping Supervisor is accountable for the overall safety, security, efficiency, and cost-effective management of their team. The Landscaping Supervisor must effectively lead a team to coordinate basic care and maintenance tasks for the General Motors facility in Oshawa. The ideal candidate will ensure quality and safety, leading by example to deliver superior results across all areas of their responsibility.

Schedule
- Flex-time required as needed for coordinating tasks and responsibilities across different shifts;
- Standard Day Shift Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and mentor up to 20 team members to ensure high standards of service delivery;
- Coordinate and schedule landscaping services, including snow removal, lawn care, and yard beautification;
- Manage shift schedules to ensure timely execution of all landscaping tasks;
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities across different roles and classifications within the team;
- Oversee the scheduling of training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance;
- Foster a culture of excellence, emphasizing quality, efficiency, and exceptional customer service;
- Provide regular coaching and guidance to team members to encourage ownership and continuous improvement towards performance targets;
- Monitor and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, customer satisfaction, and operational performance;
- Ensure the team clearly understands the customer’s value proposition and works toward achieving high satisfaction levels;
- Utilize ADP for timekeeping, payroll processing, and data entry to maintain accurate records;
- Implement and use all required company online systems and platforms to streamline operations;
- Maintain regular communication with customers to address service requests, inquiries, and concerns promptly;
- Administrative duties including data entry, record-keeping, and computer use;
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably within the landscaping or related industry;
- Experience in the manufacturing, grounds keeping, or outdoor maintenance sectors is an asset;
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment;
- Strong problem-solving skills and proven leadership abilities;
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
