About the role
Job Title: SAP ABAP Development Specialist
Work Mode: Hybrid (Remote and 2-3 in-person days at 55 John Street, Toronto)
Location: Toronto, ON
Start Date: 1 August 2025
End Date: September 30, 2025
Project Duration: 6 months (Potential 6-month extension)
Hours per day: 7 hours per day
Hours per week: 35 hours per week
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- Post-secondary education in computer science, or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Development related certification is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 10+ years hands-on experience in ABAP Development (including ABAP Objects and ABAP 7.4 and 7.5 Syntax) spanning the full RICEFW development object spectrum in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC.
- Experience performing and managing the full SDLC for development deliverables including the preparation of comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.
- Experience providing input and subject matter expertise during requirements gathering, design and functional specification preparation as well as providing feedback during functional specification review.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, and sharing knowledge with developers to assist with hands-on learning and overall upskilling of the team. This includes RICEFW development and tools/applications including but not limited to Business Application Studio, Eclipse ADT and Gitlab.
- Experience using tools such as: SAP Solution Manager (Project Management, Change Management, Service Request, and Incident Management), Jira, and SAP Quality Center by HP(HPQC).
- Experience in project methodologies such as: Agile, Waterfall, etc
