We are poised for continual growth across all of our business units and are continually looking to add talented individuals to support our expansion.

We are currently seeking an Associate in our Toronto office, located in the heart of the financial district. Demonstrating sound decision-making aptitude and delivery of customer service excellence, the Associate will be responsible for the overall maintenance and execution of derivatives trading (hedging), including but not limited to:

  • Execution of commodity and currency hedging, including futures, forwards and options
  • Reconciliation of trading positions
  • Entry and distribution of trades
  • Reconciling Trader performance Report
  • Miscellaneous financial reporting

The role will also include general support for treasury activities as required from time to time including:

  • Co-ordinating and directing fund transfers and producing cash management reports as required.
  • Co-ordinating the booking, withdrawal and repayments of various loans as required
  • Co-ordinating the day-to-day requests of receivables insurance as required
  • Co-ordinating cash settlements of foreign exchange trades as required
  • Producing monthly and weekly borrowing base calculations as required
  • Other ad hoc projects as required

The ideal candidate would have the following key characteristics:

  • Strong Excel proficiency

  • Strong written, oral and presentation skills

  • University degree

  • High attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills and focus

  • Works well under pressure

  • Quick thinker

  • Ability to carry out detailed data analysis

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Enrollment or completion of an accounting, economics, business or applicable designation program

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Ability to work within a dynamic fast-paced, work environment
