Position Summary:
Atlantic Grocery Distributors Ltd. is currently looking to fill the role of Inside Sales Lead. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will oversee and provide guidance to our team of Inside Sales Reps (ISRs) to ensure the efficient and effective execution of their responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISR), responsible for team communication, work assignments, work and vacation scheduling and conflict/issue resolution
- Perform the role of a working leader, with the ability to assume fellow ISR team member responsibilities as needed in the event of vacation, sickness, or unexpected absences
- Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule as after-hours work/calls will be required.
- Become 100% proficient in all aspects of Power Net, including placing and modifying orders, preparing customer order guides and coaching of customers as required
- Actively participate in the review of customer orders, both keyed and electronic, and working with ISR team to address error correction, shortages, potential substitutions, in a timely manner.
- Complete training of all new Inside Sales Representatives in all Retalix modules and provide orientation on all company policy and procedures
- Review customer orders by product category to identify opportunities for add-ons and increased customer sales penetration
- Perform monthly review of customer account performance regarding total sales and margins and provide feedback to ISR team as well as Sales Manager
- Responsible to participate in regular performance reviews of ISRs
- Participate in additional projects and initiatives as assigned by the Sales Manager
Job Requirements:
- Experience in sales and/or customer service is required
- Previous leadership experience would be considered an asset
- Ability to prioritize efficiently
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, and communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Effective problem solver, strong ability to think outside the box
- Experience with Retalix would be considered an asset
