About the role
Who you are
- We’re looking for a player-coach with a passion for creative modern selling, customer empathy, team culture, and scalable systems — someone who brings both structure and heart to outbound sales
- English fluency is required
- Have 3+ years of experience leading outbound sales or BDR teams in B2B SaaS
- Are curious about AI and love finding ways to make work more effective (and fun)
- Have managed both internal teams and outbound vendor relationships
- Come from a developer tools or infrastructure company, ideally with exposure to databases, data infrastructure, or cloud-native products
- Are excited to build; you bring structure to ambiguity and scale to what works
- Are passionate about creating great experiences for both customers and employees
- Believe in coaching through context, metrics, and continuous feedback
- Are a strong communicator who builds trust across departments
- Consistently test, iterate, and adapt quickly, scaling successful initiatives and discontinuing those that are not effective
What the job involves
- As a Business Development Manager at TigerData, you’ll lead a growing team responsible for introducing our PostgreSQL platform to new customers
- This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll start off by managing a small team of BDRs, shaping how we scale our outbound motion
- This is also a thought leadership role: incorporating AI, modern tools and techniques, and automation
- You’ll report to the CRO and play a pivotal role in building the team, processes, and experience that define first impressions of TigerData
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of Business Development Representatives
- Build scalable, repeatable outbound processes and playbooks
- Champion AI tools and techniques to enhance team productivity, efficiency and engagement
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and RevOps to improve lead quality and pipeline efficiency
- Create a world-class first-touch experience for prospective customers
- Foster a strong team culture focused on curiosity, performance, and growth
- Own and report on key metrics such as meetings booked, conversion rates, and outbound ROI
- Recruit, onboard, and develop future outbound talent as we scale
- Our technologies include PostgreSQL, Tiger Cloud, AWS, Go, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, and innovative features like Hypertables, Hypercore, vector search, and real-time analytics
- We don't require previous experience with our tech stack, but enthusiasm for learning is key
The application process
- We respond to every applicant
- We review applications fairly and objectively, and shortlist based on relevant skills and experience
- We ensure clear and timely communication throughout your candidate journey
- We maintain a rigorous interview process with a high bar, designed to give you the opportunity to meet various team members you'll collaborate with across our organization

- Professional development & educational benefits
- Summer Fridays off in August
- FSA/Dependent FSA plans
- Fully remote work from anywhere
- 401(k) retirement plan
- Stock options
