The Role
Are you passionate about uncovering insights through data? In this role, your analytical mindset and enthusiasm for data will be essential as you transform complex information into clear, strategic guidance. Drawing on your expertise in tools like Microsoft Power BI and advanced SQL, along with your understanding of financial risk and product performance, you’ll deliver impactful business intelligence solutions to both distributor partners and senior leadership. This is your opportunity to lead efforts related to data management, governance, and analysis to improve decision-making and support the development of corporate strategies
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau, Advanced DAX, modern data platforms, Alteryx, SQL, Excel, etc.
- Collaborate with business and tech teams to streamline data collection and staging
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership to support growth and profitability
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and drive efficiency
- Build predictive models to support forecasting and strategic planning
- Ensure data quality through governance and best practices
- Develop KPIs and data models to enhance visual storytelling
- Document data pipelines and analytical processes
- Mentor team members and support skill development
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant analytical field (e.g., Business, Statistics, Computer Science)
- 5+ years of experience with BI tools, ideally in the insurance industry
- Strong skills in analytics, project leadership, and change management
- Proficient in SQL, DAX, Power BI, Tableau, and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
- Solid understanding of data structures, data governance, and cleansing techniques
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling abilities
- Effective communicator with experience collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
- Knowledge of insurance products is an asset
- English is requirement, written and verbal, to provide services to our customers and communicate with internal stakeholders
- Bilingualism (ENG/FR) is considered an asset
The MINIMUM salary for this position is $71,603 per annum. Starting salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s education, experience, and internal equity.
