About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Costing/FP&A Analyst to join our team. As our business grows, a further need has developed for more profitability analysis and identification of cost-saving opportunities. This role will support the FP&A Manager in various costing, financial planning and analysis tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial data and providing meaningful and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end entries and reporting, including margin, variances and absorption.
- Ensure the accuracy of item standard costs, reconcile standard costs to actual costs, and maintain the perpetual inventory system.
- Identify improvement opportunities and participate in system implementation processes.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain team on the annual cost roll-up process, including analysis and system uploads.
- Support the FP&A Manager in monthly actual vs. budget reporting and insights, particularly for Operations.
- Assist in the annual budget process and contribute to business case analysis, cost-saving opportunities, and ad-hoc analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in cost analysis, accounting, financial analysis or related
- Bilingualism, French and English preferred. (Intermediate level of English is required)
- CPA (obtained/in progress) – an asset
- Manufacturing experience – an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
