What will you be doing? As a Senior Accountant , you will communicate with various internal departments as well as external stakeholders. This position is critical to the delivery of financial information on a timely basis. Candidates must possess strong organization and analytical skills in a position that is very detail oriented. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of income statement reporting and analysis.
- Taking ownership of and completing monthly accounting entries in areas such as government funding prepaids, accruals, payroll, revenue, and fixed assets.
- Supporting with government funding applications, analysis and reconciliations
- Preparing and maintaining financial records and working papers in support of transactions.
- Monitoring banking activities for multiple entities to find irregularities and process appropriate journal entries.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- 4 year degree in accounting or finance
- Experience in IFRS 3 and IFRS16 is required
- CPA designation an asset
- 3+ years of experience working in an accounting role
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Products
- Experience working with ERP software, knowledge of NetSuite is an asset
