Job Description

We are looking for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our Front of House teams for our Vermillion Room Restaurant.

Available Opportunities Include:

  • Host/ess
  • Food Porter
  • Sever
  • Bartender
  • Barista

Starting Rate: $16.55 per hour - $17.86 per hour, this is dependent on the position.

We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years.

What you will be doing:

Host/ess:

  • Meet, greet and seat guests and maintain daily floor plans to suit forecasted guest and staffing levels

Food Porter:

  • Transporting food from the kitchen to the dining room in a quick and efficient way

Server:

  • Maintain quality and timeliness of service and practice effective up selling and suggestive selling techniques to drive outlet revenue
  • Maintain accurate billing, cash handling and float procedures

Bartender:

  • Take guest orders accurately and process purchases using the POS system
  • Create beverages/Cocktails according to recipe and presentation standards

Barista

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and teas

  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area, following all safety standards

  • Assist with basic cocktail prep and service during peak times

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Must have Pro-Serve Certification for Alberta prior to your start date

  • Previous experience in a high-volume and fast paced hospitality environment is preferred (experience required is dependent on position)

  • POS system experience an asset

  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry, with a love for all things food and drink

  • Schedule flexibility, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40+lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more
