You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to shape, define, and deliver cutting-edge IT solutions. This is a long-term freelance opportunity with a hybrid work setup in Brussels.

Responsibilities Mission & Scope As an IT Functional Analyst, your primary responsibility is to identify business challenges, map out IT solutions, and define functional designs aligned with enterprise standards. You’ll play a pivotal role across all phases: preparation, elaboration, construction, and operational support.

Key Activities Preparation Phase

• Collaborate with Business Analysts to explore potential solutions.
• Align proposed solutions with enterprise architecture and strategy.
• Facilitate architectural setup in collaboration with architects.
• Act as liaison between client, business analyst, and technical teams.

Elaboration Phase

• Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements.
• Define application impacts and responsibilities per asset team.
• Design the solution in line with the agreed architecture.
• Engage with technical stakeholders to finalize specifications.

Construction Phase

• Monitor development and testing phases for compliance with specs.
• Define technical components (queues, integrations, security).
• Support integration and defect analysis during testing.
• Collaborate with deployment teams for production rollout.

Post-Go-Live Support

• Provide operational support and incident analysis.
• Update and maintain functional documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Practical experience working within Scrum teams is a plus.

Language Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Working knowledge of Dutch or French (at least one local language required).
