Posting Period: July 17, 2025 - July 23, 2025 The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide ensures that services are provided throughout Providence Manor with the least possible disruption to residents of the Home. The Housekeeping/Laundry Aide is responsible to perform the duties of the position in a manner that supports and implements the policies, procedures, routines, values, goals and objectives of the Housekeeping/Laundry Department and Providence Care Centre, including goals for providing high quality services and creating a positive work environment
Skills And Qualifications Required
- Minimum of Grade 10 education
- Ability to work well with others
- Previous health care housekeeping/laundry service experience is an asset
Position Responsibilities
- Follows established Housekeeping/Laundry routines and schedules as specified
- Uses assorted Housekeeping/Laundry equipment in performing various duties
- Contributes to timely, consistent and quality cleaning of the premises, provides general thorough cleaning services, and follows department cleaning procedures as assigned
- Performs such daily duties as damp-dusting, spot cleaning of walls/windows, dust and damp mopping of floors, vacuuming, collecting/disposing of waste and separating recyclable materials and washroom cleaning, and completes other work routine tasks
- Operates washer and dryer and makes any necessary setting adjustments according to supplier’s recommendations to make the cleaning process more efficient.
- Sorts, folds, hangs, and stacks each resident’s personal laundry prior to returning it to the resident home area.
- Folding, delivering, and putting away resident laundry
