THE OPPORTUNITY
BBE is seeking a Freight Forwarder to join our team. This role works directly with our customers and carrier network to ensure goods are transported safely and efficiently. Our goal is to meet or exceed our clients' expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing file administration for all freight forwarding jobs as directed by the supervisor, including but not limited to file opening, quoting, invoicing, file management, and job close/out push to accounting.
- Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization, establish work schedules and procedures for all vendors, resolve work-related issues, prepare and submit progress and other reports and coordinate activities with all supply chain vendors and agents.
- Develop and maintain client, vendor, and agent relationships.
- Maintain the highest level of customer service, including retention, satisfaction, and profitability.
- Review, question, and follow operational processes per the Company’s operations.
- Provide proactive insights based on customer operational data to assist the client and business success.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties may arise from time to time.
CORPORATE COMPLIANCE DUTIES
- Actively participate in QHSETR programs and systems.
- Contribute to and foster transparent, direct communication, education, and customer service enhancement with the operations team and clients.
- Ensure that file details and supporting documentation facilitate efficient handovers to Operations and Accounting.
- Contribute to BBE’s continuous improvement and organizational efficiency goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Logistics/Supply chain education preferred.
- 2+ years of previous experience in Logistics/Supply Chain.
- Experience learning different systems and understanding technology.
- Exceptional communication (English spoken and written) and interpersonal skills.
- MS Office suite proficiency.
- CIFFA training is an asset.
- Knowledge of background in the supply chain through Nunavut, NWT and Yukon is an asset.
