Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
Our client manages a premier portfolio of high-profile properties across some of the world’s most dynamic real estate markets. As a leading real estate services firm, they deliver specialized management and development.
They are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Finance to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will support a growing real estate portfolio. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the position also oversees an offshore finance team of 2–5 professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate monthly financial reporting packages prepared by third-party operators to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with internal standards.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding of investments, coordinating with property managers and reviewing entity structures, fund flows, closing statements, purchase price allocations, and supporting financial documentation.
- Lead process improvement initiatives focused on simplifying and strengthening intercompany confirmations and reconciliation workflows.
- Prepare and deliver timely monthly and quarterly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including IFRS-compliant statements, investment performance updates, co-investor communications, and lender reporting.
- Manage internal SOX compliance testing and support external audits, ensuring full adherence to REIT regulations and internal control protocols.
- Coordinate and analyze quarterly income statement reforecasts and support the preparation of comprehensive three-statement annual business plans.
- Monitor liquidity and assess capital requirements in collaboration with the logistics portfolio management team.
- Partner with the capital markets team to support financing and refinancing activities.
- Support FP&A initiatives and address cross-functional reporting and analysis needs as they arise.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of offshore finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities
- Clear and effective communication, with strong time management and presentation skills
- Collaborative team player who confidently shares insights and recommendations
- Genuine interest and foundational understanding of real estate and financial markets
Experience:
- At least 3+ years of progressive work experience, including a combination of public accounting and industry roles; real estate experience is considered an asset
- Strong technical understanding of IFRS accounting and consolidation
Education / Designations / Licenses:
- Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA)
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with accounting and consolidation tools, with adaptability to learn new systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Yardi, and/or OneStream is preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required
