About the role
Canadian Pain & Regenerative Institute (CPRI) - NEW WESTMINSTER is a highly regarded interdisciplinary medical clinic focused on the non-surgical management of painful spine and musculoskeletal conditions.
We are currently looking for a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team of inter-disciplinary healthcare providers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for clients
- Ability to educate clients with regard to various service offerings
- Scheduling and coordinating appointments for clients
- Registering clients on arrival
- Assisting in general medical administrative duties (answering phones, organizing patient referrals, general cleaning & tidying of clinic)
- Inputting in referrals, and ensuring all patient charts and information are attached
- Reviewing and submitting billings (MSP, ICBC, WSBC, third-party payers)
- Ensuring exam rooms are kept stocked and ordering supplies as necessary
- Being the liaison between allied health, physicals, and staff
- Other duties as requested
- ICBC/WSBC coordination will be an integral part of the ICBC and WorkSafeBC patient care
Qualifications/Experience
- Preferred experience working as a Medical Office Assistant required (+1 year)
- Preferred experience working in a multidisciplinary clinic
- Administrative support experience for allied health
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working with ICBC and/or WorkSafeBC and third-party payers
- Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Computer literacy in Microsoft 365 and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software
- Experience using JaneApp is an asset.
Compensation
The expected starting salary is $20+, depending on the level of experience

Our co-founders have the highest level of certification in Pain Medicine. The Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) Pain Medicine subspecialty residency program began training Canadian physicians in 2014.
