As the Asset Management Technologist, you will provide business process and technical support to all divisions in Mobility in support of the continuous improvement of Mobility services and business processes through the judicious use of technology. Primary duties include:

  • Investigate and resolve workflow and system issues by identifying root causes in collaboration with Information Technology (IT), ensuring smooth operations and system reliability.
  • Define requirements, provide solutions, quality control and risk management advice for Mobility Technology projects and other initiatives in collaboration with clients, process owners, IT, Mobility members and interested parties from other Business Units.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, supportive key performance indicators and targets to enable operational decision making and meet custom reporting requirements of each division.
  • Coach and support users and operations staff in effectively utilizing standard solutions and GIS capabilities, including the development of training materials to meet GIS and Asset Management needs.
  • Support business process and system standardization in the Business Unit.
  • Facilitate delivery on system enhancements, report requests and system maintenance in coordination with IT Application Support.
  • Develop and support GIS (ArcGIS Online) projects/initiatives within Mobility.

Qualifications

  • A completed 2-year diploma in Business, Science, Information Technology, GIS, or a related discipline and at least 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS technology suite is required.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases will be considered to be an asset.
  • Experience with Infor Public Sector (Hansen) or other Enterprise Asset Management / Work Management systems would be an asset.
  • Additionally, knowledge of business intelligence tools and dashboard technologies such as SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence and PowerBI will be considered assets.
  • Experience with Systems Analysis, Business Process Assessment and Requirements Gathering is an asset.
  • Success in this position requires strong communication, planning, organizing, research, problem solving and analysis skills.

  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.

Workstyle: This position may be eligible to work from home for at least part of the time as one of several flexible work options available to City employees. These arrangements depend on the operational requirements of the role, employee suitability, and are subject to change based on operational needs and corporate direction.

Compensation: Pay Grade 10 $42.62 - 56.97 per hour

Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day

work week, with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
