How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Air Liquide is currently in need of a Plant/Facility Manager who will be responsible for managing plant cylinder production to achieve optimum operating performance consistent with the corporate philosophy, business strategies and operating plans. The incumbent will be managing a Medium Sized Industrial Cylinder Filling Plant in Winnipeg (5 operators) with management of Medical Cylinder Filling Plant in Saskatoon (4 operators) as well.

Operate the plant, including the management of personnel, budget, assets and relationship with ALC’s customers. Prepare, analyze and issue periodic production and performance reports. Supply input for development of the annual budget. Participate in contractual negotiations with unions and/or with employee committees. Ensure that employees are recognized for their contribution. Ensure communication between management, employees and their representatives.

Provide safe and environmentally compliant operations for our employees, our customers, our shareholders and the public. Execute the site specific HSEQ Action Plan.

Fully meet both the spirit and the intent of all applicable laws and legal requirements at all regional facilities. Identify and manage operating permits. Ensure that facility is compliant with mandatory regulatory requirements. Coordinate and assist in external and internal audits. Manage subsequent action items until they are closed.

Ensure that Industrial activities are carried out by trained resources, and that all Critical Tasks are performed only by qualified personnel. Ensure that all the plants in the Region aren is properly staffed and recruit for new personnel as required. Document each employee’s training needs and ensure that training is delivered and documents. Participate in succession planning.

Operate in a spirit of Continuous Improvement focused at being and remaining the most cost effective producer in all markets we serve. Ensure that the plant(s) is(are) operated in a reliable and efficient manner. Participate in periodic Operations Review.

Operate facilities that meet all agreed customer requirements.

Maintain the mechanical integrity of our assets over their useful lifetime. Coordinate daily maintenance activities with regional Maintenance Manager. Ensure good plant housekeeping and maintenance of plant’s assets.

Are you a MATCH?
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering ,or Technologist Diploma with experience or any other experience deemed relevant
- Knowledge : good knowledge of labor, environment, occupational health and safety laws and regulations, business sense , oral and written communication skills
- 5-7 years of experience in a continuous operation environment, preferably in the chemical industry.
