Position Overview: Are you ready to drive business growth and manage dealer territory with existing, potential, and new customers?

Reporting to the Industry Manager, the Enterprise Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and evaluating business development opportunities aligned with corporate goals. This includes new business within our current dealership realm, new dealer/agency agreements, acquisitions, joint ventures, alliances, and more. You will prepare and refine business cases in conjunction with Finning managers and executives for detailed internal and external discussions and actively participate in implementation planning for business development opportunities.

Job Description:

  • Key account management.
  • Customer relationship management and reporting.
  • Represent Finning in planned and ad-hoc customer meetings, presentations, seminars, etc. to support strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in industry associations.
  • Identify, research, prepare, and execute business development opportunities.
  • Establish and cultivate an external network for potential business development opportunities, including customers, competitors, partners, suppliers, OEMs, governmental contacts, trade associations, etc.
  • Collect, filter, and provide an initial assessment of development opportunities of potential value for Finning, including acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships, alliances, equity positions, etc.
  • Prepare business cases for agreed-upon business development opportunities, including projected value, projected costs, SWOT, market overview.
  • Responsible for revenue and cost management.
  • Recognize and develop business development opportunities that will deliver growth and value to Finning.
  • Help create an effective work environment that successfully contributes to the achievement of business goals and objectives for Finning.
  • Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years of sales/marketing experience.
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of product and application.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation, with a comprehensive understanding of marketing principles and practices.
  • Strong leadership and motivational capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Team builder with the ability to work with employees and business leaders at different levels throughout internal and external organizations.
  • Time management, prioritization, project management, and independent problem-solving skills.
  • Appreciation of financial management and administrative/legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Solid organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Note:

  • This position will be based out of our Fort McMurray office location.
  • Applicants from Calgary will be considered with the expectation for regular travel to Fort McMurray region (50%).
  • Permanent, full-time role.
  • 5 x 2, Monday – Friday shift.
