About the Role:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Account Manager is responsible for prospecting and recruiting new business in the assigned territory, supporting existing accounts, and earning a guaranteed base salary plus commissions, with company coverage for mileage and expenses.

The successful applicant will:

  • Identify and develop opportunities to obtain new clients and support revenue growth.
  • Build territory by setting priorities, prospecting, and networking to develop and manage new business while ensuring follow up with existing customers.
  • Meet or exceed onboarding targets in defined territory.
  • Maintain product knowledge and be able to demonstrate proper use of instruments, market conditions, competition, and industry trends.
  • Actively participate in business activities such as trade shows, seminars and conferences representing Insight Medical Technologies.
  • Deliver exceptional support and knowledge to customers.
  • Discuss new technologies with optometrists and ophthalmologists.
  • Install and train the end users on new equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs and service when necessary.
  • Prepare equipment quotations and process signed sales contracts.

We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:

  • Between 2 to 5 years of sales experience is required.
  • Outside Sales experience within the optical industry is required, or equivalent office management or customer service experience, such as an optician/optometric assistant or a frame/contact lens representative.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An outgoing self-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Manage your own schedule with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Motivated individual that can remotely manage his/her own territory.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's license, own vehicle, and have the willingness to travel.
