About the role

The Total Rewards Analyst will lead and support the administration and maintenance of end-to-end compensation practices, including job evaluation, competitive market analysis, and pay recommendations to various stakeholders. This role provides expertise regarding organizational-wide compensation programs and compensation-related activities for all roles through partnerships with business leaders and HR team members.

Experience Your Day-to-day

  • Administer day-to-day compensation activities, including job evaluation and market analysis relative to internal pay practices and other compensation-related programs.
  • Lead and administer the annual merit cycle
  • Support a variety of compensation-related project and initiatives through rigorous assessment of data, trends, cost and program analysis
  • Ensure jobs are consistently and accurately documented. Review job descriptions for quality and completion and perform job evaluations to determine internal equity, placement within compensation framework.
  • Act as a support to day-to-day benefits administration.
  • Support consultation with the Human Resources team and managers on compensation-related matters. Prepare advanced position or incumbent market analysis and make recommendations to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Participate in third-party compensation surveys; submit compensation data in accordance with the survey requirements, company guidelines. Support research of market trends and prepare market analysis to assess company market position and areas of concern.
  • Administer and support compensation metrics, reports, and tools to inform compensation program decisions, forecast costs and trends, and analyze the effectiveness of compensation programs.
  • Ensure programs and practices remain compliant with legislative requirements by maintaining awareness of the laws and regulations affecting pay programs. Support research, evaluation, and make recommendations; prepare and submit regulatory reporting in accordance with requirements.
  • Support the creation and maintain job evaluation, compensation, and other program documentation, including plan descriptions, policies, guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of market practices and emerging trends in HR with a focus on the total rewards programs

Qualifications

  • University degree in Human Resources or Finance preferred
  • 3+ years related work experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of point factor job evaluation, market benchmarking, and experience administering and maintaining compensation planning
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
