About the role

Job Overview

Career City College seeks a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to grow our student pipeline and institutional partnerships. This individual will focus on strategic outreach to military organizations, WorkBC centers, WorkSafeBC, Indigenous band funding administrators, education agents (local and international), and high schools. The BDR will also lead community engagement initiatives to position Career City College as a trusted education provider.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Development & Outreach

  • Build and maintain partnerships with:
  • Military organizations and veterans’ associations
  • WorkBC employment centers
  • WorkSafeBC (for clients seeking vocational retraining)
  • Indigenous communities and band funding officers
  • Community organizations and local leaders
  • Local and international education agents
  • High schools and school districts

Recruitment & Promotion

  • Conduct presentations and outreach campaigns at high schools to engage future graduates.
  • Promote programs and funding options to prospective students through targeted outreach efforts.
  • Provide training and support to agent partners to ensure accurate program promotion and application guidance.

Funding & Support Navigation

  • Liaise with Student Aid BC, Indigenous band offices, and WorkSafeBC to stay informed on funding streams.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM platforms for all outreach activities, leads, and partner communications.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on outreach performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the admissions and marketing teams to align outreach initiatives with institutional goals.

Community Engagement

  • Represent Career City College at community events, job fairs, cultural gatherings, and educational expos.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community-based organizations to support inclusive recruitment strategies.

Qualifications

  • Resides in the Lower Mainland or Greater Vancouver area
  • 2+ years of experience in business development, recruitment, or community engagement—preferably in the education or service sectors.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities, public sector partners, or government-funded programs preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally with a valid driver’s license
  • Strong organizational and CRM/database management skills.
  • Post-secondary education preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
