About the role

Try something new this summer! Save money and escape the hustle of the city by working in the beautiful wilderness of northern Canada. We are recruiting for the 2025 fishing season June - late August.

Arctic Lodges is located in north eastern Saskatchewan on Reindeer Lake. We are a world class trophy fly-in fishing resort offering our guests all inclusive packages. We are seeking great people who love the outdoors to join our outstanding team of service providers. Arctic Lodges accommodates on average up to 16 guests per day. We are committed to offering a warm, friendly work environment with strong team culture.

We are seeking outgoing and professional people to join our team as a Dock Hand/Junior Guide. We offer a competitive wage and include all meals and accommodation for the duration of your time with us. You also get a cut of the in-house tip pool which is quite significant. We cater to a high-end clientele who appreciate the amazing service we provide as a team and the incredible fishing!

The Dock Hand/Junior Guide position is best suited for those who are flexible, enjoy meeting new people, like to keep busy and have no problem multi tasking. This position is also best suited for someone who see's their future as a fishing guide for the next 3 plus years. (Trade experience is a plus, but not mandatory)

Junior guides start off working on shore as a dock hand and help with various work around camp for their first season. Since Reindeer Lake is such a technical lake with over 5500 islands it really takes some time to learn and requires patience, flexibility and best for a self starter. When time allows you get training on the lake and start to learn new territory and techniques. For those who already have a strong skillset for guiding you will have the opportunity to guide during our larger groups throughout the season under the supervision of a senior guide.
