About the role

The Opportunity:
Take a Hike Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce Administrator to join our growing team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the successful utilization of Salesforce across our organization by supporting our fundraising and program scaling teams. This role requires a strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and the ability to configure and maintain the platform to meet the evolving needs of our organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**Salesforce Configuration & Customization:

  • Configure Salesforce to meet the specific needs of various programs and departments, including the creation of custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and processes.
  • Assess need for and timing of migration to Salesforce nonprofit cloud and manage implementation.

User Management & Access Control:

  • Manage user access and security within Salesforce, including the implementation and maintenance of user profiles, roles, and permissions.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide valuable insights into business performance.
  • Assist in data analysis, visualization and reporting to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager of IT, and stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Collaborate cross departmentally to improve workflows and processes within Salesforce

System Maintenance & Support:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce functionality and performance. Monitor system usage and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed of Salesforce releases, features, and implement necessary updates and upgrades.

Maintain Training and Documentation:

  • Maintain and develop current and new documentation according to system setups, business policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Author and deliver ongoing support and training to users on Salesforce functionality and best practices.

Data integration and optimization:

  • Manage and support data integration between systems. Leverage Microsoft 365 tools such as Power Automate and Fabric to connect O365 with Salesforce.
  • Connect Salesforce data with visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to improve data usability and system performance within Salesforce.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator preferred.
  • Experience with NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) configuration and best practices preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience using Salesforce including managing users, roles and profiles. Creating and updating reports and dashboards. Automating business processes and using workflows.
  • Experience leading Salesforce projects, implementing system upgrades/integrations and managing data migrations or large-scale automation

Terms and Compensation:
We offer a salary of 80K-90K, commensurate with experience, based on a 37.5-hour work week. The ideal start date for this position is September 2025.

This is a full-time, 18 month contract position located in Vancouver, BC with a hybrid work environment.
