Truck Zone has an opportunity for a highly motivated Parts Manager to join our Nanaimo Branch location.
The Parts Manager is required to maintain an orderly department with parts stored in their proper location for easy access, developing a system to ensure that stock levels are monitored to guarantee the inventory to be just-in-time and consistent with the requirements of the service department, commercial and wholesale accounts. . The ideal candidate will relied upon to develop and drive retail parts sales. They will assists in establishing pricing parameters in each parts category that generate sufficient gross profit to produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty. Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover. They are accountable for the shipping and receiving of the orders, while maintaining a record for all purchases made.

Role Requirements
- Journeyman Parts license
- Must have previous industry experience and knowledge.
- 5 to 7 years of related managerial experience in parts management including leadership, issue management, motivation and team building preferred
- Experience using Karmak is an asset.
- Knowledge of market preferences, competition, regulations and trends
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing and international shipments.
- Financial literacy and extensive comprehension of a financial statement.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- The ability to delegate, set expectations and monitor progress of all direct reports.
- The individual takes responsibility for subordinates' activities, makes self-available to staff, provides regular performance feedback, develops subordinates' skills and encourages growth
- Great attitude and moldable
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook email. Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent communication, customer service and leadership skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
