About the role
Job Summary
Divot's Restaurant at the Innisfail Golf Club is looking for cooks/Chef and kitchen help. Experienced production and line cooks needed.
We are a very busy golf course with inhouse dining, catering services, and Event Centre dining. Ability to work independently as well as a team setting.
Candidates will need an outgoing and positive attitude. Need to be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly valued.

Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $15.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
