Applicants must reside and be legally eligible to work in Ontario. This is a Temporary Part-Time Opportunity Type: Replacement An exciting opportunity exists as a Contract Part-Time Project Manager supporting Ganawishkadawe, The Centre for Wise Practices in Indigenous Health (GCWP-IH). The successful candidate will work with individuals across the organization and in partnership with the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC) to develop new resources related to sexual and reproductive health. This role will require skills in knowledge translation and social media expertise to research, create, share and report on resources related to Indigenous Sexual and reproductive health.
Summary Of Duties, But Not Limited To
- Monitors, tracks, and evaluates the progress and adherence to project milestones, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinates and creates communication and promotional activities and materials as required.
- Assists in the coordination of reporting and dashboards to demonstrate and evaluate the impact of social media resources and events.
- Evaluates projects to identify areas for efficiency and provides coordination on resource allocation, cost implications, and project adjustments, etc.
- Implements projects to meet timelines, objectives, and goals.
- Conducts research and performs knowledge translation practices to develop social media resources related to sexual and reproductive health.
- Triages or re-directs requests to the appropriate department/staff when more senior advice is required.
- Coordinates, moderates, and develops agendas for monthly check-ins.
- Identifies and troubleshoots challenges and barriers.
- Ensures timelines for project implementation are followed.
- Develops standard project templates and documents.
- Creates a database to record, archive, and retrieve documents and files.
- Supporting other initiatives within the CWP-IH as required.
As a role model and champion, you will work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care.

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Science-related field, Indigenous Studies, Equity Studies, Social Justice, or Public Health is required.
- Three to five years of progressively responsible and related experience is required.
- A lived experience and understanding of the cultural beliefs and practices of at least one of the traditional territorial holders of the Toronto area.
- Social media literacy (Instagram, Facebook, X, bluesky), and familiarity with graphic design software (e.g Canva).
- Experienced in Indigenous knowledge translation practices and relationship building through Indigenous ways of knowing, growing partnership and ally relations and be trusted in Indigenous circles.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat Professional and virtual collaboration/platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
- Has knowledge of and is familiar with Indigenous data sovereignty principles and frameworks, including how they are operationalized.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, anti-racism, accessibility, and human rights.
- Has knowledge of and experience in advancing principles, practices, and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all. Experience working in a hospital and/or healthcare sector is an asset.
- Proven attendance and punctuality.
- Professional behaviour and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital.
- This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices, and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all.
