Term of contract: Full-time, continuing contract

Start date: August 25, 2025

Salary range: $140,000 - 160,000 based on experience

The School

Stratford Hall, an independent, K-12 IB World School, invites applications from individuals who wish to join our dynamic team. Our graduates attend the top post-secondary schools in Canada, the U.S. and abroad. Founded in 2000, Stratford Hall is one of the few IB continuum schools in Canada and has a rich tradition of educational innovation and excellence in the Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes.

Position Rationale and Goal

The Director of Enrollment Management advances the school’s mission and vision by developing and sustaining strong admissions and enrollment cycles. The Director shares opportunities for families to learn about Stratford Hall’s unique educational and social environment and collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Communications to promote the school. The Director manages the school’s relationship with the Parents Association, mobilizes families to support the school, and strengthens all families’ sense of belonging. The Director serves on the Senior Leadership Team and participates in the overall management and leadership of the school.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in school enrollment management or related roles in mission-driven organizations
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience, for example managing personnel or directing programs
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in communicating school values and building relationships with families
  • Strong sense of initiative in establishing direction and maximizing opportunities
  • Flexibility, adaptability, a growth mindset, and a spirit of collaboration and goodwill
  • Strong cross-cultural competencies, able to develop trust within a diverse community
  • An inspirational communicator, storyteller, and empathetic listener
  • Facility with information technology productivity and enrollment management tools
  • Flexibility to attend evening events and occasionally travel
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, multiple languages desirable

Key Responsibilities

Enrollment Management

  • Design and manage a highly engaging admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Design and lead engagement opportunities for prospective families to learn about the school, such as open houses, tours, and external events.
  • Create and respond to opportunities for active dialogue with prospective and applicant families.
  • Develop creative strategies to ensure robust applicant pools and waitlists at key entry points.
  • Manage the continuous enrollment process, including collaborating with the Director of Finance and Operations to communicate and collect deposits and tuition payments.
  • Co-create and implement marketing strategies that communicate the school’s unique value proposition and strategic vision to prospective and current families.
  • Manage admissions assessments and evaluation teams.
  • Make admissions decisions with the Principals and Head of School.
  • Manage admissions offers and waitlists.
  • Co-create and manage new student orientation, information transfer, onboarding with the Principals.
  • Analyze year-over-year admissions and retention data to understand trends and develop retention strategies with the Principals.
  • Collaborate with the Registrar to ensure accurate enrollment and student records.
  • Share regular admissions and enrollment updates with the Head of School.

Financial Aid

  • Promote financial aid as a means for families to access a Stratford Hall education.
  • Promote the value of socioeconomic diversity to the school community.
  • Communicate the financial aid application process and lower barriers to access.
  • Determine financial aid awards in collaboration with the Director of Finance and Operations and the Head of School.
  • Participate in fundraising activities that support the school’s Bursary Fund.

Parents Association

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Stratford Hall Parents Association (SHPA)
  • Collaborate with SHPA Executives to plan for parent engagement and community building.

Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Head of School and Director of Marketing and Communications to design and deliver marketing and engagement opportunities that strengthen the school’s identity in the market.
  • Supervise and partner with the Enrollment and Community Relations Manager to creatively and effectively deliver the required functions of the Enrollment Management office.
  • Become familiar with the academic and co-curricular experiences of students within the school in order to amplify success stories and demonstrate the value of the school.
  • Identify, contract with, and manage consultants and service providers to support the department’s efforts.
  • Anticipate, identify, and mitigate potential risks to the school’s enrollment, finances, and reputation.

Leadership

  • Thoughtfully build genuine relationships with Stratford Hall community members, including faculty and staff, current families, students, alumni/ae, donors, and governors.
  • Attend and participate in Board meetings and Board Committee meetings as needed.
  • Align enrollment management activities with strategic plan, senior leadership, and annual Head of School and Board goals and tactics.
  • Actively participate in the Senior Leadership Team to help lead and manage the school, particularly the delivery of a consistent experience that prioritizes student growth, care, and safety.
  • Represent the school within and at regional and national associations and meetings. Deepen the school’s networks with other organizations.
