We're Hiring: Caretaker – Landing Trail School Reliable. Dedicated. Essential. Help us keep our schools safe, clean, and welcoming.

Sturgeon Public School Division is currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Caretaker to join the team at Landing Trail School in Gibbons.

Landing Trail School serves approximately 400 students from preschool to Grade 4. With vibrant, well-rounded programming including non-denominational Christian faith-based LOGOS programming for approximately 80 students, Landing Trail provides a caring and supportive environment that nurtures every child's growth.

As a Caretaker, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school for students, staff, and families.

What You'll Do

  • Clean and sanitize washrooms
  • Sweep, mop, wax, and vacuum floors
  • Wash walls, windows, and lockers
  • Remove garbage and recycling
  • Operate floor scrubbers and polishers
  • Perform other cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned

Shift: 7 hours/day, 5 days/week (evening shift) for 11 months of the year

What You Bring

  • Previous caretaking or cleaning experience
  • WHMIS and First Aid Certification
  • Experience with floor scrubbers and polishers
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
