About the role

Quality Assurance Analyst, Contract

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal configuration and performance of operational systems and processes, while also assuring the quality and functionality of applications through comprehensive testing and analysis. In addition to these QA responsibilities, you will spearhead business analysis activities as needed, acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams to facilitate the development of solutions that meet both quality standards and business requirements.

Day to Day

Quality Assurance

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand the functional requirements and devise appropriate test strategies / test plans / frameworks.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various types of testing such as functional, GUI, integration, regression, and system testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly fixed.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality.
  • Ensure all tests and procedures are performed according to specified standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and proactively support knowledge sharing across the product delivery team.
  • Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
  • Ensure robustness and reliability of the system through comprehensive release testing.

In this role you will also be required to spearhead Business Analysis (BA) related activities as needed. Typical Business Analysis responsibilities includes:

  • Monitor and ensure the optimal configuration and use of Operations systems and processes.
  • Lead and participate in projects, solving problems, and act as a sparring partner for internal departments to ensure high-quality standards and continuous optimization of Operations systems and processes.
  • Facilitate the process optimization process by eliciting requirements in one-on-one & small group discussions and leading larger workshops, documenting the results.
  • Work closely with teams in Operations, Product Owners, Project Managers, Stakeholders, Vendors and Development Teams to define and document requirements, scope, systems functions, processes, challenges, and opportunities to successfully implement solutions for complex projects.
  • Assist in creating, refining, and documenting user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Assist business stakeholders with User Acceptance Testing.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of project artifacts and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide post-implementation support to measure and ensure project benefits were realized.
  • Report on critical project/operational KPIs.
  • Facilitate business requirement walkthrough meetings and partnering with the business on functional specification reviews.
  • Independently manage projects of light complexity from initiation.

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in business and quality analysis.
  • Knowledge of business process management, workflows & data flows.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook and project management tools such as ADO, JIRA, Zephyr
  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of detecting and addressing faults and problems.
  • A good understanding of software development and database management.
  • Understanding of various testing methodologies and approaches.
  • Experience of and certifications in working in various project management methodologies waterfall, agile, scrum, SAFe, BA/QA Frameworks.

Applicable Pay Range

$75,898 - $113,847

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, pension plan, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
