About the role
Job Description Pickering Casino Resort is seeking a Part-time Cage and Coin Cashier! Under the general direction of the Cage & Coin Manager, this position is responsible for demonstrating exceptional guest service, while accurately managing the care, control, transfer, and balancing of financial assets at the gaming site. As a Cashier, you will be serving our internal and external guests by handling cash, chips, voucher transactions and process jackpot payments. While working as a Banker, your role will be to maintain our Customer Ticket Redemption units, process and balance main bank transactions. You will work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations to comply with all applicable laws, policies, FINTRAC and Anti Money Laundering procedures. Above all else, you will create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues!

- Provide friendly, courteous efficient service to guests by handling financial transactions with the utmost skill and integrity
- Accurately process guest transactions for cash, chips or vouchers
- Comply with all AGCO, FINTRAC and Anti Money Laundering policies as well as GCGC Service Operating Procedures
- Identify and detect any counterfeit bills and/or gaming vouchers.
- Redeem foreign currencies for CAD funds or gaming vouchers/chips using accurate exchange rates
- Fill and balance Customer Ticket Redemption units
- Reconcile and fill departmental transfers, cash floats and prepare bank deposits
- Accurately preform counting procedures to ensure your shift has balanced
- Effectively resolve all Guest complaints and comments regarding transactions or concerns and work collaboratively with the Cage & Coin Manager and Supervisors to ensure a smooth and efficient Guest experience
Successful Applicants Will Demonstrate The Following Qualifications
- Completion of a secondary school diploma
- 1+ years of experience in customer service and handling cash (preferably large volumes)
- Strong knowledge of cash, foreign currency and other settlement types
- Working knowledge of computer software, and ability to learn new software and systems
- Strong mathematical aptitude, ability to work within a confined space, and have good hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a high-volume, fast paced, shift work environment.
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking, organizational, teamwork and analytical skills
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
Candidates must be ready and willing to work at both locations, a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work and location will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
